A Letter from Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez

I'm incredibly humbled the people of Wisconsin have placed their trust in me to serve as lieutenant governor alongside Gov. Evers.

My roots here in Wisconsin run deep. My grandparents owned a dairy farm in Richland County. I was born in Milwaukee and grew up in Brookfield, and my husband and I are raising our kids in Waukesha County.

I first decided to run for office when I saw that leaders in our state were putting politics before Wisconsinites lives and livelihoods. I'm a proud working mom, wife, healthcare professional, small business owner, and Girl Scout troop leader. And every family, just like mine, wants to earn a good living, send their kids to good schools, have good roads and infrastructure, and be able to afford quality healthcare. We also want to live in safe and thriving communities, we want to conserve and protect our natural resources and outdoor spaces, and we want to leave our kids and our grandkids a better future than the one we inherited.

Gov. Evers has worked hard over the past four years to make these shared values a reality, and I'm excited about everything we'll accomplish together in the four years ahead of us. I love this state, and I'm ready to get to work to build the future we want for our kids and for Wisconsin.

Forward, together.

Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez
