Wisconsin is home to the EAA and a growing aerospace manufacturing presence. To market what Wisconsin has to offer in the aerospace supply chain of manufactured materials and intellectual property, the WEDC has launched the Wisconsin Aerospace Consortium. Today, I joined Dept. of Workforce Development Secretary Reggie Newson to tour Lakeside Manufacturing and announce the statewide expansion of the Second Chance Partners youth apprenticeship program. This Wisconsin company is one of 80 business partners throughout the state that are stepping up to address the skills gap as participants in the Second Chance Partners model. Friday, March 15, 2013

I was at Princeton Public School recognizing the CEED (Collaborative Education in Engineering & Design) program and its efforts to connect students to technical careers. The intent of the program is to have students create and market a product to be sold. The program is partly funded by a surplus from savings realized from Act 10.
